Maybe instead of it just being a shitty 2 tile flasher that runs out of juice in seconds and really doesn't keep your criminal down for more than a few seconds. Lets at least make it so that if you were to run through an effected area you would go blind for a few seconds and fall to the ground. Meaning if I spray in the path of someone and 2 seconds later they run through it. they would then fall to the ground scream and then get up but still be blind for a few seconds. Thoughts?

I already abuse the fuck out of Pepperspray on criminals. If there was any change it'd be better just to have stun for a slightly longer time, less than a flash but still effective enough so that you can follow up after they fall down.
I don't like the residue effect you're talking about though.

Pepperspray is nice because you can use it on criminals to piss them off without it doing much.
Other than that flash is superior because of the knockdown.

Security already has flashes, portable flashes, stun batons, tasers, energy guns and flashbangs. They really don't need anything buffing at this point. The "spray" from pepper spray devices does not linger either, it's fired out with such velocity that it would all go to the ground in under a second due to the fact it's also got more of a liquid stream to it as opposed to a puff of particulate.

Pepper spray is already useful, but it is much, much more situational than a taser or baton or any other of securities items. It has it's uses, though limited.

I always take a pepper spray with me when i play sec however i find myself never using it. I could never find a situation where it would say be more useful than a flash or baton in close combat.
