It's just leaps and bounds easier than DoTa that's about the extent of it.

Coming from someone who went from DoTA to League, DoTA in general seems much more unbalanced and much easier just to go in and stomp the enemy team without even trying. DoTA's "competetive" scene, if you could call it that, or even the metagame involved in it is pretty bad. Maybe that's just me, maybe I just haven't gotten that far or gotten high enough, but League of Legends also has - if you can believe it - a much better community. Don't get me wrong, they're both horribly shitty, they both will tell you to kill yourself if you so much as steal a CS from them. God help you if you feed. But League, I've had a generally much better experience with it. Granted, it IS much easier, easier to just jump into it and start playing, but it's generally got a much more likeable style in my opinion, and is much more entertaining.
