We are not always lucky to get a good captain and will some times get incompetent ones who care little for laws or rights of crew members. When is a non-violent non-antag revolution allowed to happen among the crew? Also do we need a majority approval to do this, or say if just all the other heads agree on this. Plus what should happen to said captain after the revolution?

It generally needs a majority of some kind, whether that is the other Heads of Staff, Security or a large group in the crew with a valid reason to dispose of him, valid reasons are not "He didn't approve of my jobchange to Master of the Universe, what an arsehat" or "He looked at me funny, I didn't like the way he was looking at me funny" Depends on what he has done, best option is to permabrig him or just demote him to an assistant. Though i'm sure if he was harming people or lasering randoms you can kill him, but ask the Admins on first. Edit: It's also probably good to note that there is no set in stone instructions for what to do when the Captain needs to be disposed of and not all admins will approve of this so it's always good to ahelp first to ensure you don't come into conflict with an admin later on when the Captain ahelps "Wtf, these gais r kil me" |

Ok thank for most issues on the station everything is conditional and i don't want to drag admins in every time some ones i assume is griefing or incompetent and for the most part would rather solve them in character instead of ahelping "captain is stupid job ban he" also the edit part at the end is very helpful thanks.

In my experience, playing as Detective with Christian as HoS we've had to do this a few times.
We simply contacted the HoP and whatever other heads and made sure they were ok with it. Basically said "If Captain fucks up one more thing, it's go time" and made sure all the heads and sec knew that.
When the Captain does fuck up, we simply arrested him and demoted him to worse than assistant. I think one time we made his title "Door mat".
Point being, unless he's murdering randoms or something, just arrest and demote him and you probably won't have admin problems. I don't think Christian and I ever did. At that point it's IC.
