Most if not all areas are designed to allow breaking in one way or another. Even the prison station is escapable. This is intended since space station 13 is just a very dangerous station and you should be able to get anywhere with the proper tools and time despite not having the right ID. The security level of rooms is the only thing that differs, i.e. EVA has shocked windows to keep you out, while the medbay is easier to break into.
Just imagine a traitor being able to hole up in one room without anyone being able to get to him.

While it is annoying, Scorr has a point. Making an inpenetrable fortress of a room would kill the game in itself.

Personally the only room i think should have better security is the vault because right now it's completely pathetic, it's just as easy as hacking a regular airlock. I myself have easily stole the nuke/space cash on several occasions for really just the hell of it. I have no idea why nuke rounds are even challenging for the syndicate. While our server doesn't often do a nuke or secret round, I still think it should be better secured to simply deter people from screwing with it. Oh, also RD should start with a tool belt.

The vault doesn't really hold anything useful except for in a nuke round though. In which case it is quite pathetic, but it'd be kind of hard to improve it without breaking anything. There's already no windows and the door is bolted out of itself. The fastest way to get in is a simple bomb.
I don't think the RD should start with a toolbelt. He is not an engineer, he is not supposed to hack shit and he is not 'supposed' to break into areas.

Have you seen all the tools in the RD room, theres five loose tools lying around and two mechanical toolboxes, including multi-tool and a screwdriver the RD already starts with whats needed to hack besides Insulated gloves, tool-belts would be nice if you happen to want to haul all that shit around rather than pile it on tables.

RD doesn't need to move around a lot. Shit can stay on the tables.
