Holy shit, I haven't had to do one of these in a loooooong time, here goes nothin'.

Ban reason: You're a consistently a complained about player who earned three adminhelps the minute I logged in about ganging up with a buddy to break him out of a permabrig for his own bad behavior. Also you were permabanned a while back and I still have a picture that is the word stupid with Braxton Hale as its name so you probably deserve this. .
This is a temporary ban, it will be removed in 2880 minutes.

Why I feel I should be unbanned: Welp, Kevbro, the only reason I had to break the dood out of perma was because no admins were on, and there was no-one to dispute that shit with. He was permabrigged because I broke into engineering and stole an electrical locker. He was just tagging along. He started to die of air loss, so as I dragged him to medbay, I got stun-cuffed, but broke free. Mah buddy didn't, and I had to leave him at the brig. Whenever I finally uncuffed myself, I tried to find him, but he was nowhere to be found. So I casually waltzed by the permabrig to see if anything was up. What I saw was him cuffed to a bed getting beaten with a laser rifle to death. I ratted on the warden, and he got demoted, but mah buddy was still permabrigged, so I knew the only way to get him out was to stage a Prison Break. So I broke him out, only to find that we couldn't do our job anymore because the AI had shut down genetics. Blah, blah, blah, we figured we'd get arrested soon, and raided armory for protection. Then, SUDDENLY,

            Server now has an anti-shithead policy. Metagaming non-traitors who steal shit from places they probably should not be can now be dealt with with extreme prejudice. Have a good fucking reason. This is your only warning.
We know it's directed towards us, so I say let's put the stolen materials up and just do our job. The genetics power came back on, and we started working again. Then the AI said to arrest mah buddy again, so we welded ourselves into genetics to start working, then BAM!

The only reason we did that shit was because it was a slow round with a low pop, nothing interesting really going on. Plus, Kevsop said in that announcement, "THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING." We cut that shit out right then and there, and then I got banned after stopping.
So, you should lift it, just sayin'.

Ok ZodTheZod. Lets take a look at what you supposedly did to earn this ban, and why you feel you were justified.

Mr. EthanW, who is also serving some ban time for this, broke into Engineering to steal gloves. A relatively minor offence, but gloves are a high priority item, and you are not entitled to them just because you want them. After fighting security, he gets permabrigged.

No butts about it, what the Warden was doing was wrong. However, the Captain did the correct thing and demoted him, and throughout the entire process, was very calm and reasonable.

So, while not being specifically privy to these events, the Logs and the Adminhelps support this story, and neither you nor Mr. EthanW contest this is what happened.

But this isn't about them. This is about you.

First and foremost. Lack of Admin presence is not a good reason to break the rules. Pretty much the ONLY exception to this is people running around just attempting to robust the life out of everyone. We've all seen them, grey suited menaces with a toolbox in one hand and a fire extinguisher in the other. But this was not the case here.We do have logs, and we actively act on bad behavior if its posted to these very forums you are posting on!

Second, what made you personally feel that you had to help Mr. Ethan? As a geneticist, you are hardly expected to break into Security and out into space, then back into the armory. There were reasonable people there, such as the Captain and the HoS who were actively dealing with the situation. By doing the things you did, you explicitly broke the rules, and you even admit it. "We raided the armory for protection" Why do you need protection from being arrested? Because you acted like a major dork and broke into places you obviously shouldn't be in.

Finally, as far as the announcement I gave, yes, it was targeted at you. But instead of stopping this poor behavior, you broke into medical storage to hide the guns in a locker, just incase you needed them later, instead of ditching them or the best option: Returning them to Security.

So what this all basically amounts to is that you took something that was a minor faux pas on the part of security, and instead of trying to fix it in a reasonable manner, you did everything in your power to make yourself look like a major shithead, and nothing to generate goodwill or solve the situation. You didn't really want to just get back to genetics, you wanted those guns.

In conclusion, its a two day ban. There isn't a single other server out there that wouldn't do the same to you. Its just bad gaming. You deserve it. If any other admin thinks I'm wrong in my judgement or pretense, I encourage them to speak up and lift the ban.

Also, it's asinine that geneticists don't have access to med storage, because there were 3 things I went there for. One, a medpack for my bruised bud, two, anti-tox-box FOR genetics, and three, that locker. Why would I return the guns to security whenever I knew that they wanted to arrest me? That's just dumb.

One last thing, why would you admin-help someone breaking out of permabrig if you're security? It seems like that's an IC issue. But, meh, you're the one with the ban-hammer.
