Chaplain
Good news and bad news oh faithful servant of space gods. The good news is this is the easiest job on the station. The bad news? See the good news. The chaplain is an easy laid back job. You will constantly be fighting with the geneticist over if a body should be cremated or not.
Perk's of being the Chaplain:
You have an expansive workplace complete with an office.
You can choose what god and religion you want the station to have. Be creative. But be appropriate.
You are rather expected to wear your default robe and chaplain hood. Be creative and wear whatever your god thinks you need.
Your bible is actually like a box.
Communicate with the dead with chairs!
Downside of being the Chaplain:
As apparent in the comic above, your soul shard can make someone a shade that obeys you like the AI. If you order it to kill 4noraisins then expect admin action to be taken on you, not the shade (explained later).
Office gets raided for the soul shard.
Get smited by your god.
Know your work space:
1. This is the crematorium. Burn bodies here if your out of coffins or if there is a changling. You will often argue with the geneticist if the person has recently died.
2. This is your mass driver. Put stuff in it and press the button. Coffins can be launched into space and what not. Is also said this can lead to the derelict. You will often argue with the geneticist if the person has recently died and you plan to space their body.
3. Your office. Its rather large and leads to the crematorium and coffin rooms. On the desk is the null rod and soul shard. The soul shard can be used on a dead body or an almost dead person to transform them into a shade that follows your command. Take note this has consequences outlined here in the do and don't section of how to use the soul shard and not get banned.
4. This is the chapel. You can hold ceremonies, funerals, cult meetings and the like here.
5. The confession booth. No one actually uses these for some reason. Basically the chaplain goes into one while a person goes in the other and they chat.
Tools of the trade:
Your bible has a chance to heal someone and bring them back to life. Mind you, ask before you start hitting someone with it because chances are your just going to hurt them instead of healing.
Use your radio or intercom to promote your space god and religion. Use the newscaster and hand out papers if communications are down or your god is against radio devices.
Chain of Command:
You follow the Head of Personnel. Seriously. If he says to stop something, stop it.
Useful Equipment:
Through the station is equipment for you to use that you may not normally need. These items are useful to your job at certain times. Each item comes with their location and possible use.
Crayons - Art Storage - In case you run out.
Other stuff:
Watch out as trying to turn your religion into a cult will end up with you and every member arrested or killed.
Soul shard can get you banned if you order a shade to kill people. Think of it like this, an AI gets a law to kill everyone except one person. It HAS to do it. The shade is in the same situation and HAS to kill people. It can't refuse IC.
