The Fall of Colonel Krieg

Shortly after receiving an order to send a deathsquad to annihilate the station population, Krieg finally snapped. Over radio communications he revealed that he was actually something of an ongoing experiment in human enhancement by Nanotrasen, and in fact has very little free will in his operations. However, standing by while the entire station crew was slaughtered was too much for him, and he assaulted the death squad he had deployed, taking down two Marauders and two commandos before finally being killed.

Before the station was destroyed, Centcom issued an order reclassifying the Colonel's status as rogue, and ordering him to be terminated and his remains retrieved and delivered back to Centcom. The colonel has not been heard from since. His comments shortly before his death suggest that, if he was in fact truly dead, he may not remain that way for long.
