Hey it was just an idea but what if you could make a vending machine. Just reverse how you would take it apart, which you cant take it apart so here is an idea on how to do both Deconstruct: Screw-driver open the panel Crow Bar circuits out Weld frame apart (Wrench to turn to metal) {Might need more steps sounds too easy} Construct: Take 10 Sheets of metal Make Vendor Frame Weld frame together Add circuits (Ordered from Qm under Vendor crate) Add Wires Screw-driver panel shut Add Snacks or items(ordered from Qm under Vendor crate Snack/Supplies/Drinks)
I'm Still thinking on a way to make Special Vendors like Youtool and that kinda stuff maybe certain circuits i dunno I'm open to suggestions!!! -Cargo Master Parker Smith

quite a nice idea indeed, should atleast make the vendor able unwrench and draggable.

Something to restock the vending machines would be nice, as well. Maybe something from QM, that you use on the vending machines and they restock completely, but not past what they were originally? Iunno.

yea but the idea of making them is so people can order them for certain areas like cargo or wherever they are wanted

maybe you could just order one whole vending machine from QM and replace it, and you can return the ones which ran out of stock on the supply shuttle to get some supply point bonus. (nevermind bad idea, it will end up QM stealing all the vending machines on the station for supply points.)

a side note: since the server's surgery system changed, and some surgical tools appear to be rare, I suggest to add a ''surgical crate'' in Qm's menu, so that when robotic's or medbay's surgical tool went missing, they can order a new one instead of searching for it.
well, as far as I know you can only make circular saw in the autolane, not other tools.

surgical drill, hemostat, cautery, retractor and drapes. quite a lot of people have a habit to steal surgical tools (even doctor themselves) there are some tools that can't be replaced by ghetto surgery, such as retractor in brain surgery.
so I think it would be nice if you can order a full set of surgical tools with maybe about 25 points or something.

I'll work on adding those tomorrow; as for drapes you can get more by having a botanist make cloth in their biogenerator; one sheet per drape. Also I have the framework for creating vending machines done. This is how it works (Currently)
You build the vending machine frame Obtain a vending machine board Build like any RnD related machine Congrats, you now have an empty, productless vending machine. Once its built, screwdriver it Use a vending machine circuit on the vending machine Vending machines products and other things are added Screwdriver it Stock it
Now for reference this is how a vending machine works:
On a new vending machine, it checks the products,contraband and premium. It builds those into lists and it builds the inventory based on how many its set to Each thing in the list has its own data datum which holds what it is, the amount, etc
The way that I have it set right now, its circuits are used to define what is in the machine and how much it has; and then updates it. When a circuit is not installed; there is no products, slogans, and other things. Install one and it generates the inventory again. The problem is two things though; I personally don't want vending machines created by players to be pre-stocked by the circuit boards ("HOW ARE WE GOING TO FIX THIS BREACH!?" "DON'T WORRY EVERYONE! I BUILT US A YOUTOOL!" "SWEET UNLIMITED INSULATED GLOVES"); but if players want them to be pre-stocked by the circuits I'll happily make them like that with a few adjustments of course. Custom vending machine boards are also in the mix right now but that comes with the other problem is stocking it; but I'll get to that eventually...
The final problem is that vending machines are unstoppable walls; so I need to allow you to take them apart.

Might I suggest compressed matter cartridges for restocking venders (Compressed Consumer Matter?), that once loaded into a generic default vender (Food, Cig., Med., etc) would completely restock the missing contents or maybe just reset the product back to its original contents (also resetting altered wires perhaps?)?
