Blazing intellect from Space Japan have created a new version of the Samurai. That is right, yet another version of the beloved Samurai. Samurai must guard a crystal which represents their honor. Using souls of the dead stored in the crystal, the Samurai can sacrifice the souls in order to give him a power up or allow him to use an ability. Each ability is two abilities in one; with the ability chosen based off of if the Samurai has placed a crystal. You can not have both sets at the same time. Samurai have one specific objective, and that is to steal souls of the dead. Simple right?
Crystals
A crystal can be placed with the Place ability. Crystals house the souls of the dead that have been captured with Absorb. Crystals can be smashed, which allow the Samurai to place a new one at the cost of his life force. If a crystal is destroyed, the Samurai can only use abilities which require no crystal, and vice versa if the crystal exists.
When a soul is stored, it will be labeled as "Soul of <name here>". Souls will be destroyed if the crystal required abilities that use souls are used.
Abilities - (For reference, Crystal skills are first, then skills not requiring a crystal)
-Place/Absorb: If the Samurai does not have a crystal, they can place one at no cooldown with this skill. If a crystal has been placed, the Samurai must obtain a dead body and bring it within four tiles of the crystal and use this skill. This will turn the dead body into a Soul, which will be stored inside of the crystal. A soul will be trapped in the crystal until used or rended. (Gameplay wise, dead players will be stored in the crystal as a soul).
-Recall/Charge: The Samurai teleports back to his crystal at the cost of one soul. With no crystal, the Samurai can smash into the nearest person to stun them.
-Samur-Eye/Desire: At the cost of one soul, the Samurai summons a Samur-Eye to do it's bidding. If no crystal has been placed, the Samurai can poison their blade temporarily.
-Bushido/Body and Souless: Consumes all Souls and gives the Samurai's blade 5 (set to change) damage for each soul. If no crystal has been placed, the Samurai can activate a slow healing effect.
-Suiciding: While not an actual ability, suiciding will return you to the crystal as a soul and will begin a chain reaction that will eventually releases all the souls to take over dead bodies. Samurai that take over a body will gain their armor and sword back (Suiciding as a soul will break the crystal if you are a Samurai)
Tips
-It is recommended to place you crystal somewhere the crew will not look. Though the signs of a Samurai will cause a witch hunt for the crystal, so hide it in places you know someone will not look.
-Additionally it is also recommended to get a few bodies before you place your crystal so you will have souls ready.
-Since you need to be in range of the crystal to have the dead bodies souls absorbed, it is wise to keep it near the station or in a place you can easily get back to it.
