Visible Plasma and Chemical Counter

Having a visual interface for how much plasma you have as a Xeno or how much chemicals you have as a changeling would be damn helpful.

Status tab shows almost every single thing you'd need to know. If you can't remember that, for example, as a ling you have 50 stored chemical, one sting takes 30, one takes 10, and then you'll have 10 left, you're bad. I understand maybe as it regenerates, but then eating someone restores it to full again. A counter might be nice, but unless you're relying on your abilities as a ling to save you from every situation, it's not necessary, especially when switching from Changeling to Status and back to ling takes less than three seconds.

As for alien, I think there might actually be a gauge that shows how much plasma you've accumulated.

I'd actually like it just because as an admin the Status tab is so awfully clogged I can't see relevant game information, such as chemical and plasma.

I don't trust myself with the code's health enough to mess with interface though.

I think (not too sure) that /tg/ went and put this in as an update, so perhaps it could be ported?

yep

neerti, one of our trialadmin / coder hybrids coded it in for xeno's.

we already have a ling counter, but it works with new ling, so porting might be hard.

It's suprisingly easy with access to the right files.
Take the Cyborg Gui code, canibalize the battery capacity to track chemicals, make a graphical counter, with like 5-10 frames. Xenos have a custom gui, so it's just adding. And then there is the fixing to make it work, main problem might lie with the changeling counter, another way would be to put the chemicals under Changeling tab instead of status.
