I can't make the starship frame even though I have 2k stored energy in the refinery. It keeps saying not enough stored energy. Also I noticed that you can't infuse a piece of adamantite over 101 energy or the machine will explode and the fused adamantite core cannot be used in the refinery.

You need to wait an hour before some things become available for the Starship. If an hour has passed in the round then it's probably a bug.

I hope you are not confusing the fused adamantite core with the alien core, which are two separate things. The adamantite core can be located on the mining asteroid. Once you have it, screwdriver the refinery open and add the core, and then screwdrive it again. The core will then allow for higher amounts of energy to be stored.

Shit man the starship is nearly impossible to make anyway, everything except getting the alien core is easy enough. You need to wait about an hour for the Z-level that has the alien core on to become available to get to, and even then, the fucking aliums on it are tough as shit to get past. I spent over an hour trying to get all the parts, then I died from getting ganged up on by like 4 of them.

You don't have to wait an hour to get the alien core, I've gotten it at the start of the round before.
And getting the alien core on the station is actually pretty easy since it spawns on the same spot everytime. The problem is getting there and getting back.
