This idea is based on the fact that Face Punch is an ever-growing server taking in more players than ever before! As the Space Station community expands, Face Punch takes under it's wings new players unit for common game play due to lack of experience. This leads into Shitcurity, Shit-heads and toolbox wielding griffers wandering aimlessly into space. Whether we like it or not, we are part of the entry gate to the Space Station 13 universe.
MY SOLUTION: Tutorial Admins!
Tutorial Admins would be administrators given minimal commands and would be disconnected from the actual rounds. Tutorial sessions would take place regularly, at set times (perhaps during scheduled extended rounds). This prevents tutorial sessions being ended early due to Bad wizards, robust nuke ops and whatever else God knows smites the station in a matter of minutes.
Upon completion of a tutorial session, the new players would be granted access to head positions and security positions without having to worry about them pulling the excuse of being inexperienced. In turn, more basic "civilian" jobs could be available to them so that they may get a feel of how thing are done because I feel the only way to really learn how to play is just to play it yourself a few rounds without being a major responsibility role. This allow the player to learn about game modes, specific job importance, how it feels to be robusted and other basic information.
During the tutorial, the group of Face Punties would be shown basic controls, commands and general space knowledge to prevent them from being robusted on their first day. Space law could be introduced but this could rather be something the FPs learn themselves via the TG-station wiki (http://wiki.nanotrasen.com/index.php/Main_Page) which is also where the players could gain additional information of specific jobs among the many SP13 has to offer.
As always, this is just yet another suggestion that can be judged yet again for this idea has been turned down by a few admins before. However, I feel as though I've solved most the problems I was presented with and that if this is included ,this system would improve the overall general Face Punch community as a whole.
