Ever notice the Chaplain is like the Lawyer and is literally just a filler job? No longer! Now the Chaplain can do shit. When the Chaplain spawns in, be it at the start of the round or midway, clicking on their bible will allow them to customize their religion or faith even further.
You start out with three options, you will want to Assign a Holy Relic first. The window will close and it is then up to you to use any object you want on it, as seen below were we use my own PDA on it. A copy, which is the relic, will drop to the ground.
Next you will want to set a Relic Effect. There are three tiers of effects you can choose from, "Holy Blessing", "Touch of Hope", "Seven Deadly Sins". Each has their own benefits and downsides. Those being at the left more common than those at the right. Effects from the relic are not guaranteed. The more the relic grants its effects, the less it grants effects until it stops granting them.
Immunity: Protects them from certain diseases.
Jolt: Absorb Shocks.
Purge: Removes fatal toxins.
Expunge: Removes certain diseases.
Divine Sight: Heals eye damage.
Clear Headed: Removes effects of Mindbreaker.
Reverb: Clears deafness.
Mending: Heals a very small portion.
Greed: Provides an impure object.
Sloth: Slows the person down.
Gluttony: Provides an impure object.
Pride: The ultimate sin.
Finally you will want to add a Chant/Prayer. You can have as many as you want, just remember you will need to have anyone wishing to pray at the relic recite one of the chant or prayer's you have created.
Now that everything is setup, you must now place the relic somewhere and have people, or yourself, recite one of the prayers or chants you have chosen. The gods are picky with what happens, you might get a response you might not.
Things to note:
Eventually a relic will stop granting effects.
Each time you pray/chant, you not only lower the chance of the relic granting you an effect in general, but also for yourself.
Effects stack.
