Description: So I was being a smartass AI. Though I followed my laws, very literally.
Basically stopped the Captain from setting up the singularity because "It might get loose and harm humans".

So he set up an emitter, cuts my cams, whatnot, and lasers me to death. No law change, nothing. For some reason he decided he had the authority to kill me and just did. As if he couldn't just card me at the very least, or change my laws, anything else really.
I was clearly not rogue, just being a smart ass. Really I was just hoping someone would notice and CHANGE my laws, not murder me.

Here's the log, in this post because Idk why but, every other thread i made with it attached screwed up.

I was here this round, as one of the lawyers. At the start of the round, the AI semi OOC in IC by saying, Calamity states, "SHIEEET" Calamity states, "I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS". AI then said that no one is setting up the power, so I volunteered to go set it up, but once I got to the door AI said - Calamity [145.9] queries, "What if the door crushes you?". I told him it wouldn't still didn't listen, and I waited for the captain to come to the door and open it for me, I began setting up the engine, everything was ready, I turn on the singulo and AI turns it off. I cut all cameras and turn it on again, AI still turns it off. So at this point the crew is getting very annoyed at the AI. I start to ask the captain to deal with the AI because the AI had locked down the other lawyer and wasn't letting people into anywhere because the door would crush them. Captain grabs an emitter and goes to AI upload, blows it open. Which after we get in the core we obviously laser the shit AI and move on. Which then leads me to why this ban request is a joke.

For one, it was posted while the round was still going.

Let me rephrase what Kalameet said. - I was being a giant dick and following Asimov in an attempt to fuck over the rest of the crew.

Three, also in the ban request. - "Really I was just hoping someone would notice and CHANGE my laws, not murder me." Complete shit, you are being a shit AI to get what you want.

Four, the AI was so bad that we decided changing the laws would be pointless because he would just find a way to fuck everyone over with any other law set, adding on to this, you said, - As if he couldn't just card me at the very least, or change my laws, anything else really.
But if you think about it, the door leading into your upload could have smashed him or shocked him.

Five, - "For some reason he decided he had the authority to kill me and just did." Hes the captain, and most of the crew agreed you were being terrible. So I say its justified.


That covers everything I wanted to state, if I can think of anything else ill edit this. But in all seriousness, this shouldn't be a ban request against the captain. This should be a ban request against yourself, Kalameet. Oh and, this is the 2nd round he decided to be a shitty AI, as far as I know, I do not know what they did to him that round but thats not what i'm showing you here.

Eh after reading through the log you were literally being a dick for the sake of being a dick. We've always let the players have some leeway when it comes to interpretation of Asimov and the application thereof but you were literally asking for it. I don't have context for the time so I don't know how long it took for him to get completely pissed off with you but if it was a gradual thing I can see why he did what he did.

etc.

All I'm going to do here is kindly ask you never try to be a dick like that again, as we've stopped several people from going "well if any of them have guns then they will eventually die and I don't have to listen to them because my laws have to keep them alive loel" and so on. So you fall in that category, and on the other hand I will gladly slap him on the wrist next time I see him for immediately killing you instead of seeking an alternative. That is something I will not abide by when he clearly had ample opportunity to change your laws but opted to go to the effort of bringing an emitter in. Without hearing his side I can't say for sure but you're not both perfectly innocent or both guilty here.

Both the lawyers and the captain could've been rational but opted to kill you as warmongering happens every other round on SS13. They were being asses about it as well to be honest.

But don't pull anything like this again. Being a dick and accusing the captain of being a traitor when you knew full well why he was killing you puts you to shame here, but I'm giving you benefit of the doubt as you've normally been a decent player.
