Guide to building a "safe" singularity in the bar.

So before you ask, there is a legitimate reason to doing this. The reason is FUN. So let's begin.

Basically I had a chance at 2 in the morning to do this, and I did it (almost) perfectly safely. Few things were wrong with my methods but if you learn from my mistakes this is actually pretty safe. As long as no one sabotages it.

So there isn't a whole lot to this guide, I'm going to let the screenshots kinda speak for themselves here. Some basic things you do need to know though.

Field generators should be spaced 9 tiles apart, 7 in between each one technically.
You only need 4 emitters and 4 generators.
This requires a metric fuckload of power to sustain, and if you don't sustain it, pretty much the entire station will get eaten. I cannot guarantee you won't get shit from admins and possibly banned for trying this. That said, fucking do it faggot.
Put glass or tables 1 tile OUTSIDE the field. This keeps the singulo from pulling the whole crew into the field, like some of you may remember when Derp tried this. Everyone fucking died.
You pretty much NEED to actually set up SMES units and the plasma collectors to keep powering this thing. Or set up the other singulo but who wants to set up 2 singularities? I was lucky and had DFD power the station. Maybe you can find some nerd and make him set up power for you. Robusting optional.
REMEMBER to set up the DINER APC, not the bar, DINER APC to have equipment always on, and maybe turn lights and environmentals off to save power if you think you'll need it.

This lets you see the basic layout. Simple enough. Only thing is I suggest putting the PA in the hallway above. Also, building an airlock over the console and ID locking it will allow you to keep out random people who just want to sabotage it.


As you can see here, I sacrifice myself to lord Singuloth, in hopes of satiating his great hunger. Also I just realized I have no clue what happened to the glass at the top, so tables are probably safer to use. I think something got pulled into the glass and broke it? Not sure.


And this, due to my not knowing of various mistakes, is where the fun really began. 

You can imagine where it went from here, I stopped screenshotting but it ate all of the courtroom and medbay, and much more before the shuttle arrived. This can all be avoided if you follow my guide and no one sabotages it.

So there you have it, if you follow my simple guide you too can make a singularity in the bar and be the ultimate comdom! Have fun kids, there is no possible way you will get in trouble for this.

I remember I once did this. We forgot that the singulo pulls shit in and we placed the windows IN the shield fields so when we turned it on half the crew just got shocked to shit by the field.

Still worth it.

Yeah I remember that Derp, that was my whole inspiration for trying to do it relatively safely. I was one of the guys who got pulled in.
All you really need is to put SOMETHING there so it doesn't pull the whole crew in, and to put it one tile OUTISDE of the field. Like I said tables are probably best, considering I have no fucking clue how the glass broke. Now that I think about it one of the monkeys I left in there to feed lord singuloth got shocked by the field and might have bounced into the window enough times to break it?
I imagine tables would not have the same issue.

As for not seeing the screenies, I dunno what to say man. It looks fine to me.
