Alright, so, I was thinking a lot about roboticist and thought, what if Roboticist could construct the human-based cyborg?
Basically, the recipe for creating one should require a humanoid body as the host and a robotic, artificial brain to be put inside it, perhaps an intelicard.
Then you would have to implant a mini-AI core into the body's brainless head which would be hella fucking expensive, possibly endgame type of thing you could research at R&D.
Possibly you'd have to operate on the body to insert metallic organs into it, although I'm not sure.
And THEN you would have to attempt to reanimate it by shocking it, and even then reanimating it is a 20/80 chance or something and every time you shock the body you hurt the intelicard.
The end result should give you a fully functioning robot in a human body, possibly with whatever lawset the AI in the intelicard had, although maybe the lawset cannot be changed to anything else. The body would be stun-resistant, although possibly the main weakness borgs have (flash) should probably remain this cyborg's weakness as well. (He probably can just put HUD sunglasses on to protect himself though)
So if a roboticist manages to construct the AI and get the intelicard, get R&D to research the ultimate object, find a proper body and have enough resources to enhance it, manage to reanimate it without killing the AI and manages not get the entire crew starting a witchhunt on himself, he and the victim would be rewarded with an amazing humanborg.
I'm not really sure about all of these ideas, but I think I got the general concept of it right.
All of this sounds a lot like the hassle you have to go through to get starships.
