Alright, so my good bud Plastiware has made them amazing instrument sounds that are totally gonna be used here. Problem is, I need help renaming all of the sounds so they are based on note names (An5 would be A natrual on octave 5, etc) so they work with SS13 correctly. Here's the ZIP of a violin example: puu.sh/88ROA.zipAnd here's the entire zip of all the instruments Plastiware has made hostr.co/VP5lQg4uqIg8Please seperate instrument sounds into folders/zips

I think it would be a bit easier if you had A for example, Just be A5. Then the sharps could be A#5 or whatever. Might just be faster for typing in. If this works well I might actually fucking make music in SS13 instead of just copy pasting classical shit someone spent an hour on on the internet.
I would become the station's greatest bard, master of serenading the hot bitches.
Edit: Also, to make it even faster, have multiple note values you type in play the same note. For example, A#5 is A Sharp on the 5th octave. Bb5 is B Flat on the 5th octave, these are the exact same notes, and would save me a little bit of the time if I'm gonna be transferring any of my sheet music to SS13. Should be case sensitive so that a lowercase b is flat, and no one would confuse that with the note B.

That would mean Scooter would have to remake the way music is parsed, and I dunno if he wants to do that yet.

Adding an instrument is easy if we have: A: All the files with the right names B: Notes for each key Cn1.mid This is what it shows in the code. The file needs to be just named Cn1 in this instance, not Cn1.mid. In the case of the new instruments, it would be Cn1.ogg in the code but just named Cn1 while being an ogg file. Despite the fact I said easy, its hard. Below is each reference of a note in the violin code. We need a sound for each of those, as well as them being named correctly. pastebin.com/aaBUfShK

Okay I am entirely confused as to how to name the sound files. Can you just send me a zip folder of space violin sounds so I can use them as a reference? It seems your way of doing instrument names is different from old TG build. EDIT: Made the violin sounds, seven octaves should be enough. Here's the ZIP file: puu.sh/8b1Wj.zip

We should also have a "sync with x instrument" option so we can have a full band playing or some shit. Would be neato.

Agreed. Not sure how would Scooter Marde implement it, though sounds simple enough
