Hello, everyone!
I think we know this Situation very well: We are wounded, because of a small fistfight, leadpoisioning or NoSuit-EVA.
If we get back alive, we search the next First Aid Kit and use those nice Thingies like Bruise Packs and Ointment.
Even after the Sleeper-Modules got highefficent med-supplies for free, nobody will use them. "It's faster and better to use bruise packs!!1"
I playing really much as the CMO or Med-Doc, so I am bored of just sitting around and waiting for (dead) people to come into Medbay.
The only advantage of being a Doc is the Syringe Gun or the Hypospray. (Maybe also the Health Hud and Surgical-Equip)
Because of the number of injured people and the high security of the lives I suggest a new, better and bit harder Medicalsystem.
New Damageindicator and Wounds:
Next to brute, toxins, suffocation and burnings you should be able to lose blood!
Blood is a more vital part than Brute or Suffocation is because you'll suffer it from wounding.
For example: Someone stabs you with a screwdriver, you'll and you get at least 20% Brutedamage on the Bodypart you'll start to bleed and loose 1-5% Health per 30 Seconds.
But there is also a chance of getting more heavily wounded:
Atery tear:
You can tear a artery, which will bleed forever if it don't got treated. It causes around 5-10% bloodloss and 5% brutedamage.
Stuff in Wound:
Bullets and other Things(Screwdriver, Knives) will also have a Chance of causing nonstopable bleeding of ~3% and 15% brutedamage if they are stuck in the wound.
Broken Bone:
One of the Injuries which won't happen as much as other is the broken limb. It don't cause bloodloss but will have several other effects like 10% unhealable Brutedamage on the Bodypart and slower movement or chance to lose grip of the item.
First Aid for Idiots:
So you got shot and have a bleeding wound but you stuck inside the bridge without a fast way to get out of there? But wait, there is a First Aid Kit!
The new First Aid Kit have improved Items, which fit for this new Medicalsystem.
You have instead of Bruisepacks Bandages which stops 60% of a Bodyparts bleeding!
Ointments need to be putted on a Bandage for Woundhealing.
And this Inaprovalin-Syringe just stops you from dying like ever.
Okay, you bleed somewhere? Get a Bandage out and put Ointment on it.
After you put the Bandage on the wounded Bodypart you'll heal slowly until the Bandage sucked to much blood.
If the Bandage is full of blood, it will stop only 20% of the bloodloss until you wash it.
With the impregnated Bandage everyone should be able to heal even 30-40% Injuries.

"Halp, I am bleedin' to daeth!"[/shadow]
If you fall into critical Condition you first will lose consciousness.
Maybe you have some bloodloss which drains your Health lower than 20%. After this point you won't be able to breath anymore and die of suffocation.
Every Charakter will regenerate slowly his or her health if they are resting. (Especially beds will provide some faster healing than the floor)
But sometimes you have to get to medbay... or die.
Doctoring, how it works:
As a Medical Doctor you have the job to keep the Crew as healthy as they can be!
Wait for Patients (Yes, afterall they MUST and WILL come after a heavy injury) and treat them... but how?
The Sleeper is a nice tool but I think it's just to overpowered.
Bicardine and Dermaline are highefficent Medicines for treating a single Damagefactor, not to treat everything in one thing.
"The Biobed"
This machine is one of the most important part for a Wounded and the Doc.
It contains:
Biobed(The Mainpart of the whole Thingy on which the Patient lies)
Medical-Compter(Shows Health, Wounds and you can set here the options of the biobed and the infusion)
Infusion(You can inject the Patient permanently with Inaprovalin until he reached 60 Units. Other stuff is Dylovene and a weak antibiotic-medicine which is similar to Spaceacillin)
Every patient on a Biobed will have a high regeneration rate. So people which are wounded will be healthy in a minute or two.
[shadow=red,left,300]"But what is with this guy who can't breath and have heavy bleeding?"
[/shadow]
Heavily wounded won't stand up again like zombies!
It's important to get them first a Infusion with Inaprovalin and then drag them to the Operating Theatre.
There you can fix up the major wounds like torn arteries.
If you perform surgery on someone (Scalpel will initate it) he'll lose blood
If someone lose too much blood, you have to hurry up.
You can only help him with some blood plasma(Chemistry?), which prevents loosing blood like inaprovalin prevents suffocation.
If you have managed to sew his face on, you'll done.
Drag him onto a Biobed and give him Inaprovalin until he's fine.
[shadow=red,left,300]"Doc, Cap lies thar... seems to have no pulse..."
[/shadow]
If someone dies you haven't failed yet!
Is the person in the medbay, drag him on a roller bed with a heat insulating blanket. This will prevent him from cooling off, after death.
Get him to surgery and put both, person and blanket on the OP-Table.
Get a brain stimulator, the scalpel and the circular saw.
Scalpel -> Saw -> brain stimulator.
You'll revive the person if he haven't lost to much heat.
Then grab the cautery and seal the wound.
Fieldmedic for Shitcurity:
Sometimes the Medbay isn't in a good condition or the Captain/HoS want someone who revives the officer after they got beaten up by themselves.
As a Medical Doctor you have access to the Medikits, which have stuff inside which is much better than the stuff in the First Aid Kit:
The Gel roller replaces partialy the Bandages. You may fill it with Biogel which heals brutedamage on wounds really good but it burns like hell so that the patient will get unconscious.
If you use it too often on a patient he'll get massiv (20-50% for both) toxin- and burndamage so be aware!
You will also have 2 Bandages for wounds which are more critical.
There's also a Syringe with Inaprovaline.
Also a Scalpel is available for cutting out nasty things like bullets. You can also close the Operating Wound with the Biogel!
The Respirator helps the patient to breath if he's dying.
It can heal 50% Suffocationdamage and will slowly charge by itself.
Used as a mask on the Patientsface it'll help him to wake up faster or to survive if inaprovalin is empty.
A important Tool for you is the defibrillator! Instead of trying CPR you can also use the hightech shockpaddles to revive dying People.
You have 5 charges until he need to get reloaded by hand(One Shock) or recharger(Five Shocks).
If you use a defibrillator on a dying Person, he'll get back 5% of Brute- and Burndamage so you don't have to drag him to medbay if he have only some minor wounds. (Wounds on the whole body, Specific Wound)
With one of those Kits you hold the life of the others in your hand and you should be able to treat 2-3 heavy wounded people.
Your home, the Medbay:
The Medbay is the first station of a Medical Doctor and maybe also his last after his death.
It contains some new machines and rooms:
Defibrillator-Recharger: Recharges a Defibrillator, what else?
Laundry: Used to wash patients cloths, bandages and clowns.
Gel-Dispenser: This Thing dispenses Ointment and Biogel and it uses energy to syntesize.
3 Patients Room: Fully equiped with a Biobed, Patients Locker and a filled Defibillator recharger.
Cryogenics: Isn't used to heal people anymore from wounds but from diseases! Use Cryoxadone and Clonexadone for the best effects!
Okay I hope you like it and please pardon my bad english.
