Ban Appeal: Banned for Wrong Reason

I was banned for killing the Clown for disarming someone. This is not why I attempted to kill the clown. I killed him for personal reasons. The main personal reason was for him constantly harassing me. I even went and told the Sec to watch him because he was getting out of control. As a result, I got mad and gave him some abuse back... I truly feel as though my ban is not exactly called for however, I understand if it is kept. At the very least, can I have a length reduction?

Sometimes the reason that's issued with the ban doesn't entirely match since you should already know what you did wrong. Also, it's only one day. By the time I posted here it's already expired.

Thank you for responding. I just feel as though I was given the short stick. I was not going on a killing spree or anything like that. It was an isolated incident that took place around many people who could have helped and Security was not far away either. I feel as though the situation should have been taken care of in-game instead of an instant ban. At the very least, I should have been PMed by the admin before the banning so I could explain myself. I hold this server highly, however, this event has made me a little bit worried. Also, the killing was, as I said before, far from random. It took lots of planning to commit. I needed to sneak into places (read: I did not break into anywhere or have someone else break into somewhere) and then I had to corner the clown who was constantly moving as well. It was not simple and it was not random. Thanks for your time again.

EDIT: I still have 11 hours on the ban as well. I'd love to be able to play before that as I am going to be busy later today.

Firstly, sorry, I didn't see this thread until now.

This was at some ridiculous time in the morning iirc and there was a lot of stupid stuff going on that round. If the clown is being stupid and taking the pranks a bit too far please adminhelp them. Don't actively go out of your way to KILL the clown because he's mildly annoying, it's really not a valid reason.

I'm also pretty sure I PM'd you.

I played a few rounds with you yesterday and I respect you and your decision but I promise you did not PM me. Like you said though, it was late. Thanks for getting back to me.
