The game mode works like this, ever one is in the brig. the point is to find a way to get out alive (duh) but the power is off so you need to find the parts of the singularity generator to get the power up and running.
you start the game with a prison jump suit, PDA, and a item that goes with the job you picked. ex) officer gets the helmet, engineer gets a crowbar you get the idea.
also the AI has new laws the laws are 1.find and capture the prisoners 2.stop prisoners from calling shuttle as long as method does not break law 1 3.do not state laws to prisoners 4.do not let prisoners destroy the space station unless method brakes law 1
or some thing on those lines p.s. tell me what you think I'm open to options to change the idea

So basically MALF AI, only without the chance for stealth and with lower starting resources (on both sides). I dunno how a AI could capture anyone like this, and without power the AI is pretty much helpless.
At least the players would start where a vast majority of them belong.

that is the point ai has low power at the start but when that start the power shit hits the fan and the way you capture some one is shocked doors and borgs

Why would the crew start the power? It would be much easier to just kill the AI before you allowed it to gain power.

Swap your AI with a predator and maybe you got something interesting.
EDIT: And maybe, maybe no telecomms. Would be a nice secondary objective to find a way to communicate from afar.

ok i made a new ver. The crew is all prisoners and they get one tool corresponding. they need to work together to kill the Aliens (sorry z9 no perd monster in the game yet) or get the power on to call the shuttle.
the game will start with 3 random adult alines in the med-bayor cargo-bay. 1 of the 3 will spawn as the queen. the alines objectives well be to kill/harvest the humans.
a list of items the humans will spawn with captain-a empty stun gun HoP-ID cards/no one start with id except him HoS-the armor and the helmet officer-the armor warden-warden armor detective-zipo and cigs lawyer-brifcase chief engineer-crowbar and welding tool engineer-crowbar atmospheric tech.-gas mask janitor-soap bomb QM-make a suggestion cargo tech.-make a suggestion botanist-random plant RD-plasm tank CMO-medpack medical doctor-medical scanner chemist-anti-toxin and antibiotics virologist-a bio helmet roboticist-make a suggestion scientist-make a suggestion assistant-rubber gloves bartender-a shit ton of beer chef-a shit ton of burgers clown-all the clown stuff in the backpack mime-nothing(get it) chaplain-YOUR BIBLE librarian-20 side dice

Yeah, the humans have pretty much no chance, the Xenos can see in the dark, and so can easily hunt down lone humans or create lines upon lines of facehuggers
It is already hard enough to fight the xenos on a usual, fully-equipped station with a security force onboard, forget being a bunch of prisoners with the AI trying to murder you as well

I suggest adding a space ninja (it's just like a predator, but bit diffrent) that's objective is to bring home alien corpes or something, so it would be more fair
