One of our outposts has been hit by the non-human threat that we were previously warned about by the Syndicate. There was one survivor who has been thoroughly interrogated by Centcom officials.
Based on witness reports we have dubbed the new species "Suckers" based on the shape of their mouths. They possess technology that is considerably more advanced than ours. We recovered one of their weapons which was drained of power and have begun the process of reverse-engineering it. So far we have determined that it fires lasers in the x-ray spectrum which are 50% more powerful than our standard-issue laser weapons.
We did not recover any of the aliens themselves, or any tissue samples, but based on the survivor's reports we have concluded that they are probably capable of regenerating damaged body tissues rapidly. Whether this ability is natural or the result of some type of augmentation remains to be seen.
As far as we can discern the objective of the alien raid was to copy the contents of our blackbox and R&D servers. They now have a solid profile of our available technologies, giving them a further advantage over us. They have demonstrated their capability to overwhelm an entire station with a small unit using brute force, but we expect now that they have this information future raids will be much more refined and surgical.
We will continue updating you as information becomes availble. We are currently in negotiations with the Syndicate leadership to create a forum for exchanging information regarding the Suckers. We know they have been hit several times and suffered significant losses as well."
