Yesterday I was given a two day ban by Health<something>.
The situation: I was a scientist in a nuke ops round. I attempted the bomb one of the syndicate agents and failed due to lag turning my 4 second fuse into an 8 to 10 second fuse as Byond will do sometimes but not others.
Health hassles me in deadchat saying I better not do that again because I will be jobbanned for ruining the station if I fail to kill the target.
I respond by saying that it that was horse shit because to be if success or failure is what determines whether the action is acceptable or not it means you never want anyone to even try. Additionally that they were a hypocrite for even allowing bomb making if they never want it done.
I was banned for "Bombing the station as a non-antag" even though it was obvious that I was trying to kill an antag. Yes I was rude but I don't care, its hard enough dealing with the sheer amount of adminbus some of this servers admins dishout when they get ass-devastated over getting robusted by the crew when they are antags.
I mean shit, I personally gibbed / cremated whoever calls themselves Nel three times as a changeling in one round because they kept respawning when they were robusted every 5 minutes. I'm not going to take getting punished for failing by some badmin who's playing instead of administrating whos scared one of my 10 tile radius bombs might catch two or three of the nuke ops at once.
I have no idea if Health was playing an Antag that round or not but I've come to expect that kind of assdevastation from admins on this server when they are playing antag instead of following up on adminhelps. It fit the profile but I understand if they weren't. The point still stands, Health was being a huge hypocrite.
Also make some kind of fucking codified rules for the server already. None of you admins are remotely consistent with rulings and some of you will always overlook what others will punish. If you expect us to follow your rules fucking make them available. And for fuck's sake if you never want people to make bombs remove the room from your station map or is this just one of those idiotic inconsistencies where only a handful of you even care. If so make yourselves fucking known ahead of time so people can not do it while your on.
