<Fancy NT logo goes here> NanoTrasen Corporate Security Officer's Tasks and Procedures Training Booklet
Overview: Welcome to the Company!
Firstly, we at NanoTrasen would like to welcome you to the Corporate Security Division of our fine and illustrious corporation. You are a highly-trained and proficient enforcer of peace on the remote Space Stations that are owned and operated by NanoTrasen. You are the first line of defence should any issues arise on the station, be it a raiding party of pirates, a space carp migration through your sector, or some other unfortunate, unforeseen problem that could arise out in the cold, dark depths of space.
Your chain of command and you:
You are the bottom of the chain of command where security is concerned, but you are sometimes to be considered slightly above normal crewmen in terms of the chain of command. This does not give you permission to boss people around for no reason, but if there's a security issue, you generally have the final word.
Your direct chain of command is as follows: Captain -> Head of Security -> Warden -> Security/Detectives.

Since this.....Mini-guide is not yet completed and there do not happen to be any policies regarding putting in our knowledge, i'll just add mine :
Security Equipment and Maintenance - While your hands and legs are enough if you have to skirmish with inexperienced and young Crew, Your equipment is what turns you from a petty brawler into a true member of the Security Force
Before lifting this off the ground, know that while patrolling, always keep your baton on your person and easy to access should an immediate situation arrive, but do not actively hold it in your hands for too long, otherwise Veteran Crewmen and Skilled outlaws can easily disarm you and steal your stun baton, many officers were lost in the line of duty due to this simple mistake of clutching their Baton or Taser in their hands for too long
The Baton and Taser that most officers are given have a relatively long usage time if used carefully and accurately, but many officers also make the mistake of consistently using them without recharging, and often, they find themselves under attack but incapable of defending themselves due to the lack of charge in their weapons, Always recharge your equipment after arrests and calls in which they were used, it might be inconvenient and insignificant, but it can save your life
However, remember this advice : Your Baton and Taser make up only a part of a good Security Officer, don't rely too much on them, your hands may increase your efficiency, but your most important tool is your mind, which is your deadliest addition
Situational Awareness and what it is - Situational Awareness is awareness of the current situation of the station, knowing what is happening on the station, inside and outside, can not only save your life, but the lives of others and preserve the station
Always look at what is happening around you, and continuously think, what might happen? is that Assistant about to stab you? Is that gathering of crew planning to commit crimes? Is the Local Barman ready to shoot you? Are there suspicious items lying around? Is the chef stalking you instead of just passing by? While it might seem unnecessary, it prepares you if the Assistant does pull out a knife and stab you, if the Gathering of crew were planning to form a crime group, if those items lying around are actually preparations for a crime spree, and the chef was actually stalking you, Assume every man is out for your blood and you will be safer, just know that they have to break a Space Law before you can arrest them, in the meantime, consider that Doctor behind you an assassin and get ready to stun him when he pulls out his weapons
Those are my two tips, calibrated and modified to easily fit in your........"Booklet", if you want to add them
