Reason: Admitted that he and his two friends, RonBleac and Mokymok, were on teamspeak together, most likely metagaming. May appeal this on the forums..
Your Appeal: I was attacked by an Engineer with Security gear for no reason, he randomly walked up to me and started flashing and stun-battoning me, my friends tried to help me and he then started stunning them and repeatedly beating them with the stun batton. Then we all started attacking him, because he wasn't security and he was taking my items off my body after stunning me and one of us killed him and the chaplain ejected him into space after. I was then contacted by the admin CommissarHolt, asking why 'I' myself and only me ejected him into space, when I had nothing to do with him being ejected into space except being there at the time. The admin kept arguing with me saying, seeming to be backing the Engineer for not doing his job, walking up to me randomly and stunning me and then ripping off my gear for no reason at all. After the arguing went on, it seemed he was looking for reasons to ban me now. I provided that me and my friends are on Teamspeak together, doing what normal people do in Com/radio chat. We wouldn't meta game or anything and I told him this (I can give you every single god damn log that was said in that game) After I told him what we do on teamspeak and how we don't Metagame, he doesn't respond to me at all and instead he Perma banned me and 2 of my friends, giving them both slightly different ban reasons than mine and he didn't even contact them or talk to them once the entire game, just randomly ban them.

Correction, the Engineer you speak of did not harm you, and was trying to see to that you weren't the saboteur who had been breaking various things. There was no security, and he didn't harm any of you, then when he let you up you beat his head in with a pickaxe, and spaced him out the mass driver. All of you without saying a word.

I PM'd you to say that you overreacted, he had complained in adminhelp, and you went on to say that I was unfairly helping him and you should not have to even acknowledge that what you did wasn't the best idea, because you claim that no one ever helps you. I tried like 5 times to end the conversation at you saying "OK I won't do it again" after I revived him. You kept talking.

Then you bring up that you're on teamspeak with your friends there metagaming and using private comms channels. You say you're not cheating, but you're cheating in and of using it as a "radio" that nobody else can hear. You called out your friends by name, and I banned them along with you.

What about this is not what you would have expected to happen?

We were walking down a hallway and some engineer with a stun baton attacked Doctor Krieger repeatedly, stunning him a couple of times.

The engineer then tried to attack me with the stun baton but we ended up killing him and he was thrown in space in a coffin.

I then went on with being a clown and I don't know what happened with the chaplain. I was never contacted by ANYBODY, yet the ban reason I was given stated that I admitted being on Teamspeak with two people that I don't even know.

I have all the logs saved on a text file, I'll wait for another admin to deal with this because it involves you to begin with. You also never once contacted the other people I was with to ask their point because they were also hitting him. Again I say this, I did not space him nor did I put him into the coffin Nor did I drag his body there. I had apologized twice and I even told you that we don't Metagame, you instantly assumed we were and banned each and every one of us saying something slightly different in each ban, saying that I said me and two others were metagaming in teamspeak, then the other ban for my friend was say that they said me and another were metagaming when you had never once at all talked to or bothered talking to them at all the entire game. Yet again, I apologized twice, you only seemed to be concerned with the person who attacked us first. ALso, the stun stick does damage, so yes I was damaged. My health was around 80 after being hit several times. He never tried letting me up, he was taking me things off, once I had gotten up he kept trying to stun me, Again I have the LOGS of all of this happening. You also didn't really try to stop the conversation, you typed something that would imply or provoke a response and expect me not to respond or to respond how you specifically wanted me to. When I was nice enough to tell you that me and my friends are in a teamspeak you instantly shoved in "Oh so you're metagaming" I gave you multiple answers as to how we are not metagaming and instead of you reading them and listening, you rage ban us all with no warning at all and said that "He, Ron and Moky were on Teamspeak, most likely Metagaming." So you instantly assumed shit that you know nothing about nor tried to get to understand, we would have let you in the Teamspeak so you could listen to us or observe if you wanted. But no, you have to ride your high horse and ban us because I put up a valid argument with a proper retort.

Taking a quick look at this while I have the time.

After taking a brief look at the attack logs to briefly summarize this, the Engineer flashed him and then stunned him twice with a stun baton; were he was done in by the three people involved. Guy adminhelped, Holt PM'ed you. Stuff happened. Banned.

Now to clarify, the stun baton only does damage when the user's intent is on Harm. If it is on Help, Disarm or Grab intent it will just stun. Additionally this gives us a different kind of log in our logs to differentiate from Stunbatons or Harmbatons. Now before this all happened, the only thing to have made a log on you was an Owl mask thrown by the Clown. The logs show us that the Engineer was not on harm intent, which means he could not have damaged you. I also double checked this in-game to make sure a non-harm intent would not cause damage.

While you did claim that you were not using teamspeak to metagame; that can be at best be taken with a gain of salt. This is the internet; and from past experiences we have had you would be surprised how many people have said "I didn't do it!" or "I won't do it again!" and more recently "My brother did it" and end up having been the ones to do it/end up doing it again/It was not their brother. We don't know what is said through teamspeak, so we have sometimes have to assume the worst.

Though I will say that this could have been handled better, with the others involved PM'ed instead of insta-banned. I'll see what the other admins think of this matter. Post the logs if you wish.

So after checking this I have to say. The Engineer had the ID of "Kill the Mime". Not the best time, certainly not the best to have him stun you randomly and start stripping you down. All in all, I wouldn't care too much about this murder.

However you didn't single-handedly murder him, your friend the Chaplain started it and then the other friend being the Mime jumped in to help you do it. That's bannable and I see no problem in you two being banned.

From everything I can see (I wasn't on at the time so I may be missing information) The Clown jumped in out of nowhere to assist you, not actually being involved for a good reason or any really.

Metagaming is still terrible and will get you in deep shit for doing it though, it's cheating in its worst and ruins the game for others.


This could of been handled better, I'd be all for a ban reduction unless there's some missing information here, but under the clause that you metagame again and we remove you immediately and you never get unbanned.

Also:

Sounds like bullshit to me with what was said previously and the evidence. Either that or you're a griefer.
You speak about the Engineer/Kill the Mime guy (wrote chaplain before, was error) attacking you, yet he never touched you Clown, you touched him and by touch I mean beat.

Are you dense? I never said the chaplain attacked me nor have I attacked the chaplain. I did say, however, that the "Kill the Mime" person, after stunning Doctor Krieger, tried to stun the both of us. How can I tell that he tried to attack us? He ran after the two of us after Krieger was stunned and drooling all over the floor. Agreed, we kind of overreacted by bashing his brains in and ejecting him in the cold of outer space, but that was all in self-defence, really. If you check through the server logs, you can see that I was RP'ing with everyone the whole time, doing what a clown would do.


I'm still going to go through with what I'm saying: I was not on Teamspeak nor that I know those two people.

It never shows in the log him managing to attack either of you nor was murder really called for.

And as for the metagame, you have one guy who was with you saying you were metagaming, while you're denying it. Not too sure on that.

The engineer here: I know that this looked all confusing and also looks like I was randomly stunning and stealing. And having the name kill the mime made it even worse ( Hop named me that, I just accepted it). At that point I was officially made CE tough. I know there was a good reason I stunned and checked him exactly ( not sure why, I tend to forget about such things). And about the metagaming, attacking me straight after I merley stunned somebody without saying a word, it got obvious after I found out there wasn't a rev or something going on.

tl;dr: If you were there and had some interaction with me you would understand.

No one said we were metagaming, because we weren't. We used Teamspeak (because it's free and we play games with other friends on it as well) to replace the chat because stopping, typing and going again, especially when you see something bad or something that could probably kill you or for example, someone follows you and starts stunning you repeatedly with a stun batton without saying anything before hand while being the complete wrong job with a grief tier name and he starts removing items from your body then my friends jump in and try to defend me because they also do not know what's going on (Even if they weren't my friends and I did not know them and 2 randoms were near me while this was happening, they would probably assist me). Passing through killing the engineer drama (All factors together, he was suspicious as well hell, if he said something before stunning my right away, I would have complied but instead he abuses the items he had and does all that) We do not nor have not used teamspeak as a way to meta game nor do we plan to use it as a means to metagame. We use/used it simply because it's easier, more efficient, free, everyone else can use it, safer, quicker and so on. Just a group of friends trying to enjoy and have fun on a video game over the internet. I thank you for coming off nice/polite as well.

Since the more polite method failed to work :

Communicating through a third-party program such as teamspeak is not allowed, period.

It doesn't matter if it's convenient, it doesn't matter if you've never used it to reveal traitors, it, is, not, allowed.

It's practically a way to be able to talk to each other and know everything that the other says, and NOBODY else can find out what was being said.

It's a quicker way to be able to tell others about someone's antagonist status, it's a more efficient way to tell others when you're getting killed, it's safer as nobody will be able to find out about you spilling the beans on someone you should not be able to do.

Just because everyone can use it doesn't mean everyone has access to the same channel.

And think about it, why do you think the public radio is accessible and can be heard by everyone?

I repeat, I was NEVER contacted by anybody concerning anything. He literally decided that I "admitted" using Teamspeak without any sort of evidence. This is all a "he said, she said" situation.
