I did that as a QM before. But not nearly as many as you, I do remember that you were a helpful assistant. Some of the time.

When I play assistant my only goal is not to get in peoples way. I try to help when I am needed for general labor but for the most part I would just hang around in maintenance till someone yells for help because they are getting the shit kicked out of them by a traitor, and a lynch mob is needed to aid him.

When I was first starting to play the game I tried to, naturally, assist people with things with the sole purpose of learning the game mechanics. I remember how I was really confused about replacing that borg's battery by AI's request and I thought the AI was actually Research Director using hi-tech holographic speakening thingy. I did manage to change it though!

I remember that Derp, I was the AI and that was pretty amazing. Too bad it never EVER happened again.
As a PROFESSIONAL MLG assistant I can tell you that no, you will almost never get assistance. No one ever asks for it, but either way our priority is to grab tools, figure out how to hack doors, then cause as much havoc as physically possible.
If anyone ever actually asked for assistance, this might be different, but this is literally all assistants ever do. Including me. I mean, what else am I supposed to do for fun when no one wants an assistant ever?

Pretty much the main purpose of assistants are to add bodies to a station with a lot of people where all other main jobs are taken. With stations with less people they pretty much the job people take when they don't want to do work but they want to play ss13.

That or Mime. I don't think I've taken an important job in weeks, not having an actual job to do lets you do whatever the fuck you want. Mime is better imo just because invisible walls, it's SO helpful against shitcurity if you use it right.

Am I the only one who has ever been useful as an assistant? Because I have once installed cameras everywhere in maint on the old map so that the AI could see basically everything and become the best NSA AI ever. I've done just that before too. After I cut all the cameras, I was sent a red text message felt bad for the AI and put carrots in all the cameras in the halls. I also used to play as John Doe, who's background was a clone who filled empty jobs on yogstation. I was generally well know and because of the name-meta-problem you find on every server, I was highly trusted and was often given full access. Now my characters just causes mischief, or take over a department, , depending on how I feel that round.

Last night I came across the rare breed of assistant known as poweris gamicus. This fine speciman needs constant material thing of value such as the captains spare and the abaltive vest to compensate for its small urinary glands.

Erlend made an assistant powered window-smasher out of disposal chutes. Yay but the extinguisher is still the best method, plus extinguishers do not require medical attention or bitch about it.

I got a question if I have two or more assistants at once do I have to neuter them to prevent two males from fighting or a male and a female from breeding?

Nah it's better to just bow down to the grey tide. 2 assistants > 50 security members it seems.

What are all the breeds of assistants. Like I covered the Poweris Gamicus but is there any other breeds. Dank mentioned an unknown breed able to take on a small army.

Well we have the Unrobustus Deadicus, a very common species which is sometimes confused with the common security officer.
However another common species is the Knowledgicus Everythingis, this knows where everything is on the station and doesn't even have to think twice about finding things.
