Thats why it helps a LOT to have borgs. I'm pretty sure you were there when I singlehandedly killed all 5 syndies as a borg. If I actually had help I wouldn't have almost died, and it woulda been a lot easier. Just an assistant to meatshield/disarm them while I harmbaton would have made a huge difference.
Also don't lethal shotgun shells stun anyways? Or not as long or something?

I'd say almost absolutely everything bullet-based stuns. Although how long does c20r stun? IMHO it should be pretty short so you have to keep shooting at your victim to kill. Felt like you have absolutely no chance to survive otherwise.

Felt like you have absolutely no chance to survive otherwise. I think it was like 4 - 8 seconds on an unarmored target, but even then, if the syndies didn't shoot or slice the HOS or captain to hell (HOS' armor is OP as fuck against E-swords) then he'll get back up later. Extra if you know how to fake crit. C20-Rs and Pulse Rifles should not have weapon locks just because it means the normal crew is generally fucked. The syndicate isn't AS technologically advanced as NT, they're made up of generally smaller corporations that have been crossed by NT (according to the backstory), so their guns just shouldn't have weapon locks because of this. And Pulse Rifles just should not have them because they can one-shot basically everything, and for making sure it stays dead, second shot insta-gibs it. And even if an assistant or mime gets a pulse rifle, its not gonna mean much unless they're robust. An unrobust crew member with an unlocked pulse rifle is gonna get rekt by the rest of the DS if they're not quite robust, thanks to the fact that all DS troops have thermal mesons and a backup .357 revolver just incase.

If you take lore into account to remove weapon locks on syndicate guns there's no reason to remove death squad gun locks. The weapons the syndicate gets would be either black market or just not made by Nanotrasen so it makes sense that their weapons wouldn't be locked. The weapons the death squads get absolutely would be made by Nanotrasen and if anything the death squad would undergo even greater scrutiny than the station's security since they're essentially a military unit working for Nanotrasen rather than a security detail. It's goofy to argue lore in one instance and balance in the other, especially when many other features of the game ignore balance in favor of staying true to the SS13 universe.

Derp stop protesting against deathsquad weaponlocks, you're not meant to beat a deathsquad, you're meant to be killed by them.

Really? Is that why they call them Deathsquads? Or is it because they are squads that are actually ALREADY DEAD. 2spooky4me

Oh also I forgot to add, the station's artificial gravity should fail randomly as an event. Just imagine, aliens chasing your ass and suddenly there's no fucking gravity. Not sure who would be fucked over more, the guys with guns, or the aliens.

Well it's happened in .000001% of rounds I've played in or something. I always thought it was an admin thing because of the rarity. The fact that it's not a big problem should mean it should be much more frequent. Like 2-5% of rounds or some shit. A gravity generator or something that can be fucked with would also be cool. Blow it up, no gravity unless someone builds a new one. Emag it, MORE gravity, everyone moves slow as fuck and slipping will do brute damage, same with being pushed. Shit like that would be fun. This might get OP as hell though since it affects the entire station, unless you had separate generators for different areas or something. Then people would just stay out of the buttfuck gravity areas though, i dunno.

I would be against gravity generators. I can see someone who repeatedly gets arrested for things like breaking into hop and captain offices just raging and destroying the thing just to piss other people off so that they know his rage. Also engineers destroying it because they want to 'test' something about the game physics but they never repair it.
If this thing had turrets, was deep in space, and had at least 10 death-squad officers defending it all times then maybe just maybe it would be balanced.

Not to mention it would make it harder to repair it incase something does go wrong. Additionally, it would be fine if it had turrets, like you said, and didn't have meteors smashing into it every damn minute like the bridge.

Well, if it were on the station, everything would be attracted towards the generator, so people would be pushed into walls, not towards the ground. If it were a good idea (which it isn't), it'd have to be off station.
